About the Role
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will participate in evaluating patients' functional status, teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities, maintain clinical records, follow treatment programs, and communicate with other healthcare personnel to ensure coordinated care. You will also assist in identifying patient needs for additional home care services and instruct family members in treatment regimens.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Ability to travel to different patients' homes.
- Discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working in a home health setting.
