About the Role
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will assist the occupational therapist in conducting observations and screenings of students with physical/motor disabilities, administer therapy testing protocols, and document observations. You will design and implement therapeutic activities based on students' IEP goals, maintain therapy equipment, and provide direct occupational therapy services. Additionally, you will collaborate with school personnel and participate in training sessions for staff and families.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited college or school, including fieldwork.
- Current Washington State License for COTA.
- Certification in good standing with a professional association.
- Excellent communication skills and effective problem-solving ability.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and understanding of accepted occupational therapy practices and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff members.
