Tesla Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer II NOAA to join their team in Sterling, VA. The role involves defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project.
About the Role
As a Systems Engineer II NOAA, you will be responsible for assisting in defining and executing systems engineering activities, working with system specification documentation, and coordinating closely with programmers. You will engage in geospatial design and management, performance management, capacity planning, and information engineering and development.
About You
Required:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering.
Experience assisting in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project.
Experience with system specification documentation (SSD) and planning.
Familiarity with information security planning.
Geospatial design and management experience.
Familiarity with performance management.
Experience with capacity planning.
Experience testing, validation, risk assessment, and benchmarking.
Experience with information engineering and development.
Ability to closely coordinate with programmers.
Minimum of 5 years software engineering or programming or equivalent.
Ability to pass a Tier 1 (Formerly NACI or level 1) U.S. government background investigation.
Preferred:
Possesses technical writing skills.
Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and network topologies.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Familiar with Smartsheet, Lucid Charts, Google Workplace, and Microsoft 365 Office.
Able to travel within the U.S.
Understands fundamental mechanical, electrical, computing, and networking concepts.
