Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Chief Consulting Engineer, Systems, Advanced Projects to lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business, particularly in defense propulsion and survivability.
About the Role
As the Chief Consulting Engineer, you will provide technical consultation and leadership for the engine life cycle, champion technology advancements, lead design reviews, promote safety and reliability initiatives, and mentor technical staff. You will also represent the Chief Engineer's Office in design excellence matters and stay current with industry and regulatory initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in turbomachinery engineering.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of USAF design practices, policies, and procedures.
- Recognized Subject Matter Expert in defense propulsion, especially high speed applications and survivability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Current US Top Secret clearance, or the ability to get cleared to that level.
