About the Role

As the Chief Development Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing a multi-channel strategy to expand grants and philanthropic support. You will establish annual and long-term fundraising goals, evaluate and optimize development operations, manage a portfolio of major donors, and collaborate with marketing leadership to enhance brand awareness. Additionally, you will oversee all fundraising programs, build a team of fundraising professionals, manage the annual development budget, and represent the organization externally to build lasting relationships.

About You

Required:

Ten (10) or more years of leadership experience with expertise in development and fundraising.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at storytelling, negotiation, and relationship-building.

Preferred:

A purpose-driven storyteller with a deep passion for the importance of local journalism.
Experience working with Executive-level leaders in fundraising and strategic initiatives.
