STEM From Dance is seeking a Chief Development Officer to join their team in the United States. The role involves shaping the organization's fundraising strategy and securing financial resources to support their mission of empowering girls of color in STEM through dance.
About the Role
As the Chief Development Officer, you will lead all aspects of fundraising, including donor cultivation, grant writing, corporate partnerships, and special events. You will manage a portfolio of major donors, drive communications strategy, and contribute to organizational strategy beyond fundraising. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving ambitious revenue growth goals and expanding the donor base to support the mission of STEM From Dance.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree required; related advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-12 years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, external affairs, brand management, sales or marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or education setting.
Proven track record in securing major gifts (6-7 figures) through relationship-based fundraising.
Preferred:
Experience in scaling an organization to multi-million dollars in revenue.
Strong analytical experience using CRM tools and data to analyze progress.
Ability to craft impactful messaging about organizational outcomes.
Benefits
Salary: $130k-$150k, commensurate with experience.
