Crossnore Communities for Children is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team in Avery County, NC. The role involves overseeing financial operations and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
About the Role
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead financial strategy, oversee Medicaid and behavioral health revenue cycles, manage state and county contracts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to guide strategic fiscal planning and promote a healthy, trauma-informed workplace culture.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration or CPA credentials preferred.
- 10+ years of broad finance experience, ideally in accounting, with at least 7 years in financial leadership positions.
- Experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in a nonprofit organization with a budget exceeding $20 million.
Preferred:
- Extensive experience in financial operations and risk management, financial modeling & forecasting.
- Deep knowledge of Medicaid and behavioral health revenue cycles, including payer contracting and billing.
- Strong command of GAAP, FASB, IRS regulations, and nonprofit disclosures.
