Group 1001 is seeking a Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves leading the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care for Medicare Advantage members.
About the Role
As the Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director, you will assist clinical teams in ensuring effective communication with members and providers, provide strategic input on clinical programs, conduct peer-to-peer clinical evaluations, and act as a subject matter expert across the organization. You will also oversee clinical and administrative initiatives, interpret healthcare policies, and recommend new clinical policies based on evolving practices.
About You
Required:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
- Board certification in a clinical specialty, preferably in Gerontology or Internal Medicine.
- At least 7 years of clinical experience and 5 years in a leadership role within a health plan or managed care organization.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage regulations and quality care standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with D-SNPs, C-SNPS, or other Medicare Advantage plan types.
- Knowledge of value-based care and population health.
- Familiarity with health equity strategies and social drivers of health.
- Strong understanding of delegated model operations.
