Guardian Jobs is seeking a Chief Operating Officer for the Fleming Initiative at Imperial College, a hybrid role based at St Mary’s and Hammersmith hospital campuses.
About the Role
As the Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with the Initiative’s Director and Executive Chair to oversee the ambitious program aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance. Your responsibilities will include managing the delivery of a new Centre, operationalizing interdisciplinary research, fostering public engagement, and securing financial resources for the Initiative's needs. You will also identify global sites and funding opportunities to support the establishment of Global Fleming Centres.
About You
Required:
- Substantial senior-level experience in Higher Education, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Proven track record in financial planning and managing significant budgets.
- Experience in delivering measurable results and KPIs in program and project management.
Preferred:
- Experience in raising and managing funding from diverse sources including industry and government.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
