Summary
Astrion is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to join their team in Kirtland AFB, NM. The role involves leading systems engineering activities for a Space program, ensuring alignment with program objectives and Government requirements.
About the Role
As the Chief Systems Engineer, you will serve as the lead technical authority for all systems engineering activities, oversee the development and execution of system architectures, and manage design reviews. You will implement Model-Based Systems Engineering practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and sustainment of systems. Your responsibilities will also include utilizing tools like JIRA and Confluence for requirements management and providing technical leadership across the engineering team.
About You
Required:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with SAP eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in systems engineering for space ground systems, including integration and sustainment.
- Proven expertise in MBSE methodologies and proficiency with tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Demonstrated experience leading design reviews, trade studies, and AoA efforts for complex systems.
Preferred:
- INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to interface effectively with both technical teams and Government stakeholders.
