About the Role
As the Chief Transportation Officer, you will drive the coordination and performance of SunRail's train operations. Your responsibilities include assessing train performance, responding to operational deviations, ensuring training programs for Locomotive Engineers and Conductors, and managing compliance with industry regulations. You will also lead operational audits, arrange meetings, and establish emergency contact protocols.
About You
Required:
- Degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of railway operations, including roles such as Conductor and Locomotive Engineer.
- Knowledge of Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Advanced experience with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications.
- Experience in managing complex administrative departments and assets.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
