About the Role
As a Child Nutrition Staff member, you will be responsible for food production, meal service, sanitation, safety, and security in the school cafeteria. Your daily tasks will include preparing meals, setting up serving lines, ensuring food safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service to students and staff. You will also assist in inventory management and maintain the integrity of the School Nutrition Program.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous volume-feeding experience in an institutional, restaurant, or educational environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation, general cooking, food storage, cleaning procedures, and meal service.
- ServSafe certification required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees and as part of a team.
- Ability to provide friendly and outstanding customer service.
Preferred:
- Experience in a school cafeteria setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
