About the Role
As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse or neglect, providing services to families, and ensuring the safety of children. You will work in various Child Welfare Programs, including Child Protective Services, Family Centered Services, and Permanency Planning. Extensive training will be provided, and you will participate in investigations, prepare case reports, and attend court hearings.
About You
Required:
- Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university; OR 3 years of experience related to child welfare work; OR a combination of education and experience for Level I.
- A bachelor's degree (in any field) for Level II; OR one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
- A Master's degree for Level III; OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist; OR two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Social Work for salary incentive.
- Experience in child welfare programs or related fields.
