About the Role
As a Childcare Aide/Assistant Teacher, you will assist lead teachers in classroom management, create and implement lesson plans, supervise children during activities, and maintain a clean and safe classroom environment. You will also communicate effectively with parents and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to complete required VDSS training, including Child Abuse & Neglect, Health & Safety, and CPR/First Aid.
Preferred:
- Meets Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Assistant Teacher requirements.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- CDA coursework or interest in pursuing early childhood education.
- Experience working in a preschool or early learning environment.
- Passion for early childhood development and teamwork.
- Interest in professional growth and continued education.
