About the Role
As a Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children of various ages. Your duties will include designing and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring proper staff-to-child ratios, organizing materials, cleaning play equipment, and maintaining open communication with parents and staff. You will also be required to report any health or safety hazards and support the YMCA's mission and operations as needed.
About You
Required:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training working with children.
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification required.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated good judgment and creativity.
- Ability to care for and manage children of diverse ages and cultures.
- Assertiveness to handle discipline and incidents.
