Resources for Human Development is seeking a Children's Education Coordinator to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves creating a supportive environment for children and youth, focusing on their educational, developmental, and emotional needs.
About the Role
As a Children's Education Coordinator, you will supervise the Children's Education Coordinator Assistant, conduct needs-based assessments, serve as a liaison between families and schools, monitor compliance with program standards, track school attendance and academic performance, plan recognition events, and develop educational and recreational activities for children. You will also coordinate services with community programs and support residents in achieving their developmental goals.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children.
- Experience working in educational, residential, or community-based settings.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
- PA Child Abuse Clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience working with school districts.
- Knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Reauthorization Act.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
