Summary
Raymond is seeking a Civil Designer II or III to join their Civil Engineering team in Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA, or Remote. The role involves performing independent design and drafting work while collaborating closely with senior engineers.
About the Role
As a Civil Designer II or III, you will prepare engineering drawings, assist senior engineers with research and design, perform technical calculations, conduct site inspections, and collaborate with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams. You will ensure project accuracy and compliance with standards while providing guidance to junior staff.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with hydrology and hydraulics software.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Pre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.
Preferred:
- FE certification.
- Ability to travel and attend client or company meetings.
