Summary
AECOM is seeking a Civil Site Lead, Power Delivery to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on Transmission and Substation projects within the Energy Business Line.
About the Role
As a Civil Site Lead, you will manage all civil work at substation and transmission line sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and construction schedules. Your responsibilities include supervising earthwork, grading, drainage systems, and foundations, reviewing civil design drawings, managing site surveys, and providing technical leadership to site civil engineers. You will also coordinate with various teams to resolve constructability issues and maintain professional relationships with clients.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineering license (P.E.)
- Proven experience with site grading, drainage, roads, earthworks, and substation layout development.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of relevant site civil experience with at least three years as project technical lead.
- Strong knowledge of international civil and design standards (IEC, BS, IEEE, ANSI etc.).
- Experience with construction supervision, site inspection, and commissioning support.
