About the Role
As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving claims, confirming policy coverage, determining the validity and compensability of claims, establishing reserves, and authorizing payments. You will manage non-complex medical only claims and minor lost-time claims, communicate claim status with customers, and adhere to client and carrier guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- State Certification as an Experienced Examiner.
- Ability to learn rapidly to develop knowledge and understanding of claims practice.
