Brown University Health is seeking a Classroom Behavior Specialist PD to assist the Special Education Teacher in implementing effective academic and social-emotional programming for assigned students in Cumberland, RI.
About the Role
As a Classroom Behavior Specialist PD, you will collaborate with the classroom team to assist in formulating and implementing social-emotional and behavioral programming consistent with students' IEPs. Your responsibilities will include collecting and managing data on students' functioning, preparing reports, providing academic support, and participating in team meetings. You will also assist students with daily life activities and ensure a therapeutic environment.
About You
Required:
Baccalaureate Degree preferred in education or related human service fields.
Basic knowledge of data entry/management programs such as Excel.
Prior experience working with children.
Preferred:
Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification.
Experience in a psychiatric setting.
