The Cadmus Group is seeking a Clean Energy Analyst - Engineer to join their Energy Services practice in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on residential and commercial energy efficiency, program evaluation, and emerging technologies.
About the Role
As a Clean Energy Analyst - Engineer, you will assist interdisciplinary teams by providing technical input, develop data analysis pipelines, manage databases, and build interactive visualizations. You will participate in research efforts, perform site visits for energy efficiency verification, analyze data using analytical tools, document findings, manage tasks independently, and contribute to business development and project management activities. This role requires occasional travel, up to 10%.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2 - 4 years of professional work experience.
Understanding of how to apply statistical methods to data to answer research questions.
Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changes in a time-sensitive environment.
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Initiative and ability to self-direct on assignments.
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Desire to learn, grow, and make a difference.
Interest in energy, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or electric vehicles.
Driver’s license (vehicle ownership not required).
Preferred:
Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
Familiarity with Python, R, and/or SQL.
Strong understanding of HVAC, water heating, and other commercial/industrial equipment.
Familiarity with power and energy analysis techniques, such as regression models and bin analysis.
Familiarity with project management tactics and tools, including schedule software and budget tracking.
Demonstrated ability to self-train including additional trainings and certification.
