Summary
The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join their team in Alexandria, VA. The role involves trimming and removing trees, as well as maintaining the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas.
About the Role
As a Climbing Arborist, you will climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems, operate as an active crew member, and perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully. Your responsibilities will include pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood, installing cables and lightning protection systems, and maintaining tools and equipment.
About You
Required:
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Preferred:
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
