Northwest Healthcare Tucson is seeking a Clinic Records Clerk to join their team in Tucson, AZ. The role involves collecting, organizing, scanning, and maintaining patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
About the Role
As a Clinic Records Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely document management to support efficient clinic operations and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your daily tasks will include gathering documents for scanning, organizing and preparing documents, verifying the quality of scanned records, maintaining confidentiality of patient information, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
About You
Required:
0-1 years of experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or a related clerical role.
Knowledge of medical record management, including scanning and indexing processes.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document handling.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
Preferred:
RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician.
RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator.
