About the Role
As a Clinical Assistant - Surgery, you will coordinate patient care by serving as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include managing patient flow, assisting with procedures, fulfilling clerical duties, entering orders into the EMR system, and providing training to less experienced staff. You will also ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain medical supplies.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of a certificate Medical Assistant program from an accredited school
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- BCLS certification – Required Issuing Authority: AHA
Preferred:
- Completion of a Medical Scribe training program
- Experience in a surgical setting
