PreludeDx is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join their team in Laguna Hills, CA. The role involves running Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and applying molecular biology techniques.
About the Role
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to CAP, CLIA, and NYS regulations, and running protocols for sample collection and processing. You will conduct NGS and molecular biology techniques, perform validation testing, analyze data, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you will train other CLSs on established procedures and ensure the integrity of samples throughout the NGS workflow.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 4 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist.
- Experience with Macrodissection, RNA extraction, and downstream analysis.
- Strong experience in development of targeted library, conducting sequencing NGS library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license (Highly Preferred: California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license - CGMBS).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Anatomic or Clinical Pathology experience.
- Prior experience with NextGen sequencing instruments.
