About the Role
As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will determine the acceptability of specimens, perform routine and complex technical procedures, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, report test results, and maintain a safe work environment. You will also assist with specimen processing and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a relevant field.
- New York state Medical Technologist (MT) license is required.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Previous clinical laboratory testing experience.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
