About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse II, you will perform professional nursing duties that include assessing, planning, intervening, and advocating for patients throughout their care continuum. You will evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of care plans, and readiness for discharge, while also acting as a mentor to new nurses and students. Additionally, you may function as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested.
About You
Required:
- At least 2 years of stepdown (SDU) experience.
- At least 1 year of recent experience caring for left ventricular assist device (LVAD) patients.
- At least 1 year of recent cardiac surgery experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing for external candidates.
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Preferred:
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
