HarmonyCares is seeking a Clinical Partner/Medical Assistant to join their team in Irving, TX. The role involves assisting primary care physicians and clinical teams in delivering primary health care and patient care management in a residential setting.
About the Role
As a Clinical Partner/Medical Assistant, you will support patient care through clinical partnership with nurse practitioners and physicians, coordinate daily travel for clinicians, prepare patients for examinations, secure patient consent forms, and maintain compliance with health regulations. You will also perform phlebotomy, document patient care plans, and ensure the proper maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.
About You
Required:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or related medical education/training program or 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
- Current CPR certification that meets Company guidelines.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant.
- Six months of experience in patient care, preferably geriatric care.
- Strong Phlebotomy skills.
- Desire and ability to obtain MA certification within 180 days of hire.
