- Excellent communication skills with both customers and co-workers.

- Computer knowledge.
- Basic operational experience with CMM software, i.e., PCDMIS, PolyWorks, CMM Manager, MCOSMOS, etc.
- Knowledge of machine controls, servo drives, and linear and rotary feedback systems.
- Experience related to diagnosing encoder and control feedback problems.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools for measurement.
- Knowledge of the use of laser interferometers and alignment lasers.
- Ability to use an Oscilloscope and DVM.
- Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
- The ability to logically diagnose problems and effect repair.
