About the Role
As a CNC Lathe Machinist Level 2, you will prepare and operate CNC lathe machines, understand task specifications by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings, load raw materials, conduct test runs, monitor machine performance, inspect finished products, maintain machinery, adhere to quality control procedures, and mentor apprentices and Level I associates.
About You
Required:
- Completion of CNC Lathe Machinist Level I qualifications.
- Good understanding of GD&T.
- Ability to run through an unproven program with little or no assistance.
- Basic programming skills using Mastercam.
- Full understanding of cutter selection and speed and feeds.
- Good understanding of all CNC lathe equipment.
Preferred:
- Experience with Mastercam or Solidworks for dimensioning.
- Ability to bore and check close tolerance holes.
- Working knowledge of certified quality standards (AS9100 Rev D).
