Control Devices, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Model Shop team in Fenton, MO. The role involves programming and setting up CNC Mazak lathes to manufacture components for unique equipment used in the manufacturing and assembly process.
About the Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC Mazak lathes, making offsets, changing and resetting tools, inspecting dimensions to ensure they meet specifications, completing documentation accurately, performing daily preventative maintenance, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Formal Machinist training with certificate and/or previous experience
- 1-3 years previous experience with manual and CNC Mazak lathes
- Extensive knowledge of Mazak equipment and Mazatrol programming
- Excellent blueprint reading skills
- Understanding of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques
- Ability to use precision measuring devices
- Understanding of G and M code
- Aptitude to learn pertinent software
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
