Rocket Lab is seeking a Combustion Devices Intern for Spring 2026 to join their team in Long Beach, CA. The role involves supporting the Neutron team in designing, analyzing, and testing combustion devices.
About the Role
As a Combustion Devices Intern, you will work closely with your mentor and other professionals to apply engineering concepts to real challenges. Your responsibilities will include designing and testing Neutron's structures and components, firing up its Archimedes engines, and setting up launch pads and test sites across the U.S.
About You
Required:
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline with at least one semester remaining post internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
Preferred:
- GPA of 3.5 or above.
- 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
- Experience with CAD/CAM.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing experience.
