About the Role
As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will analyze borrower profiles, market conditions, and project budgets to underwrite loans for residential projects. You will conduct detailed financial modeling, evaluate creditworthiness, and draft investment memoranda. Additionally, you will coordinate closing activities, maintain loan files, and contribute to the development of underwriting processes and risk management tools.
About You
Required:
- 2-6 years of experience in private lending, real estate credit, or fix-and-flip underwriting.
- Proficient in Excel with the ability to build models from scratch.
- Deep understanding of credit metrics: LTV, LTC, ARV, DSCR, etc.
- Experience reviewing appraisals, title reports, scopes of work, and borrower financials.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate credit decisions.
- Highly organized, proactive, and execution-oriented.
Preferred:
- Experience with LendingPad, Liquid Logics, or other LOS/LMS systems.
- Familiarity with NY/NJ/CT/PA markets or licensure as MLO or real estate agent.
