About the Role
As a Commercial Lender, you will develop relationships with large middle market businesses, manage a portfolio of high performing commercial relationships, and generate revenue through targeted business development activities. Your responsibilities will include structuring and underwriting credit analyses, negotiating loan structures, and retaining and growing the existing customer portfolio. You will also participate in networking functions, monitor loan covenants, and coach junior staff while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in commercial credit, analysis, or business development.
Preferred:
- Proven ability to develop and manage large and complex new business relationships.
- Excellent relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth understanding of local markets in RI, CT, and/or MA.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to underwrite and structure commercial credits.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending.
