Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Communication Dispatcher II to join their team at UMass Boston. The role involves supporting the University Police Department by managing communications and dispatching services.

As a Communication Dispatcher II, you will operate a centralized computer aided dispatch system (CAD) to handle non-emergency and 911 calls for service. Your responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, and transmitting notifications for police, fire, and medical assistance, as well as maintaining effective communication between campus law enforcement and external agencies. You will document incidents, manage radio communications, and provide critical emergency notifications while exercising sound judgment in high-stress situations.
