Guardian Jobs is seeking a Communications Manager to support the delivery of the External Affairs strategy for the Speaker of the House of Commons in Westminster, CO.
About the Role
As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for shaping high-impact messaging and digital content, communicating the work of the House, strengthening international and interparliamentary relationships, and promoting parliamentary democracy. The role requires working from the parliamentary estate while the House is sitting, which is approximately 80% of the week during sitting times.
About You
Required:
Strong background in communications with experience creating compelling, accurate copy for various channels and audiences.
Hands-on experience managing social media in a high-profile or politically aware environment.
Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Interest in Parliament and political processes with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and impartially.
Experience designing and delivering strategic social media campaigns with measurable impact.
