Frontier Internet is seeking a Communications Technician to join their team in Rhinebeck, NY. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing network facilities and associated apparatuses.
About the Role
As a Communications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, removing, rearranging, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice, data, and ancillary equipment and network services. You will also perform repairs, restore service outages, and interface with customers to analyze installation and repair issues. The position requires interpreting schematic work order drawings, utilizing test equipment, and operating various tools and equipment.
About You
Required:
- Ability to work in confined areas.
- Ability to lift and carry tool boxes, drop wire, parts containers, and installation loads.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to meet medical and driver certification requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical wiring diagrams.
Preferred:
- Desire a degree in electronics technology, including digital logic, electronic communications, and microprocessor fundamentals.
- Experience in one or a combination of: Equipment Technician, Telecommunications Technician, Cable Splicer, or similar roles.
