About the Role
As a Community-Based Prevention Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing Individualized Service Plans, and providing short-term counseling focused on resolving issues related to substance use and problem gambling. You will also deliver crisis intervention, family counseling, and community outreach services, while maintaining accurate case records and participating in team meetings and training.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in providing chemical dependency and problem gambling prevention counseling.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree, CPP/ICPS/CASAC, or advanced training in chemical dependency prevention-related areas.
- Strong literacy and excellent communication skills.
