About You
- Doctoral degree received within the last five years or completion of a Doctoral degree prior to appointment start date.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and numerical methods.
- Understanding of current CFD approaches for modeling turbulent reacting flows, especially combustion modeling for detonation and deflagration modes.
- Knowledge of combustion chemistry and detonation physics.
- Experience with both commercial and in-house CFD codes.
- Prior research or experience related to rotating detonation engines or detonative combustion cycles.
