DCS Corp is seeking a Computer-Aided Design Specialist II (SEMATS) to provide technical support for the SEEK EAGLE Modeling Analysis and Tools Support contract at Eglin AFB, FL. The role involves conducting CAD development efforts to create 3D models for aircraft compatibility engineering.
About the Role
As a Computer-Aided Design Specialist II, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing 3D models from various data sources, including drawings and scanned data. You will manage the CAD Data Library and the Master Model Library, interface with customer representatives to understand modeling requirements, and support other engineering disciplines. Additionally, you will assist in 3D scans and measurements for model verification and validation, and apply process improvement methods to enhance system quality and productivity.
About You
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with 5 years of related experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in computer-based modeling and simulation or use of 3D CAD modeling applications.
Preferred:
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD software.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools and scanners.
- Knowledge of aircraft, stores, and suspension equipment.
- Experience with other CAD software such as CATIA, PRO-E, or Solidworks.
