About the Role
As a Computer Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing a variety of staff support services, including equipment installation and maintenance of local and wide area networks. You will work under the general supervision of the Police Chief and the Information Technology Systems Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems within the department.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, VM Ware or a closely related field with one year of relevant experience; OR
Associate's Degree in a related field with three years of relevant experience; OR
High school diploma or equivalency with five years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Certification in VMWare, Network Administration, or APLUS can substitute for one year of experience.
Possession of a valid NYS Driver's License if required to operate automotive equipment.
