BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON INTERNATIONAL (U.K.) LTD is seeking a Lead Configuration Engineer to join their team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves leading the planning, implementation, and maintenance of software configuration management processes across multiple development teams.
About the Role
As a Lead Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing version control strategies, maintaining baseline tracking, and ensuring traceability of requirements to code and documentation. You will work closely with development and Cybersecurity teams to manage hardware and software inventories, coordinate change control boards, and mentor junior engineers on best practices for configuration control. Additionally, you will lead audits and reviews to ensure compliance with configuration management policies and standards.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with software configuration management.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent software baselines in a collaborative development environment.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working with CM tools such as Rational ClearCase, Aras Innovator, Polarion, IBM ELM, or Jira with Assets.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or Perforce.
- Knowledge of software lifecycle models and engineering documentation standards.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or a technology field.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting defense or government programs.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, build automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and integration with HW configuration management process.
- Knowledge of DoD CM standards such as MIL-STD-973 or MIL-HDBK-61A.
- Knowledge of agile development frameworks, including SAFe or Scrum.
