About the Role
As a Conflicts & Ethics Attorney, you will be responsible for reviewing new business intake forms, conflict reports, and engagement terms to identify and resolve potential business and ethical conflicts. You will draft and review waiver letters and engagement letters, communicate with lawyers and staff, and advise on issues under the rules of professional responsibility. Additionally, you will oversee the onboarding of transferring matters for lateral partners and may be assigned other duties by the Associate Director of New Business Intake.
About You
Required:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) with a minimum of three years of legal work experience after law school.
- Active law license in the jurisdiction of employment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct.
- Previous conflicts experience including reviewing conflict reports and advising on conflict issues.
Preferred:
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage a heavy workload.
- Experience in advising attorneys on conflicts of interest analysis and engagement letters.
