Jobot is seeking a Construction Defect Paralegal to join their fully remote team. The role involves supporting attorneys in insurance defense matters related to construction defects.
About the Role
As a Construction Defect Paralegal, you will support two attorneys in insurance defense matters involving construction defects. Your responsibilities will include drafting and managing legal documents, assisting with discovery, maintaining case files, coordinating court filings, managing litigation calendars, and preparing for depositions and trials. You will also conduct legal research and communicate with clients and experts as needed.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience supporting defense matters.
- Prior experience in insurance defense required.
- Strong experience with California state court procedures and filings required.
- Experience supporting complex litigation matters required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with federal court filings preferred.
- ABA approved paralegal certificate strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with attorneys across multiple offices.
