About the Role
As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for interpreting construction plans, supporting senior inspectors in various functional areas, verifying work safety and compliance, performing tests and assignments, and making ethical decisions regarding company resources. You will also be expected to perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- 3 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to attain required certifications within 90 days.
- Ability to keep accurate records and compute field data.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- General awareness of construction inspection principles and relevant codes.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.
- Ability to perform physical activities required for testing and inspection.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional travel.
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree in a closely related discipline.
