Staxmatic is seeking a Construction Law Attorney to join their in-house legal team in Addison, TX. The role involves managing complex commercial and construction transactions, focusing on contract negotiations and risk management.
About the Role
As a Construction Law Attorney, you will draft, negotiate, and manage various commercial contracts, including construction agreements, MSAs, and NDAs. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect the company's interests. Key responsibilities include advising on risk mitigation strategies, overseeing compliance with insurance requirements, and providing legal support for payment disputes and collections.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of legal experience in construction and/or contract law.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Active Texas Bar License.
Preferred:
- Background in litigation and/or litigation management.
- HVAC/Plumbing experience.
- Prior in-house counsel experience.
