About the Role
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractors. You will manage project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting, and lead on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors, and clients. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and develop execution strategies for water opportunities in the NY metro area.
About You
Required:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in NY
- OSHA 30 Hour Training
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or 20+ years of experience managing construction projects
- Construction management experience on water and wastewater projects
- Ability to work onsite full time in the New York City area
- Proficiency in the use of computer to prepare reports using programs such as Word, Excel and other construction related programs
- Established relationships with NYCDEP and NYC DDC
- Must possess the physical ability to move around an active construction site
Preferred:
- Registration as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Proven as excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Keen eye for quality control during inspections and subcontractor oversight
- Demonstrated highly effective written skills, timely documenting daily activities and reporting of site issues
- Communication with multiple stakeholders, multiple sites, and Subcontractors
