Nassau County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Construction Procurement Specialist to join their team in Yulee, FL. The role involves managing and executing procurement activities specific to construction projects and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
About the Role
As a Construction Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for construction projects. You will coordinate pre-bid meetings, ensure solicitations meet statutory requirements, draft and manage contracts, and collaborate with County departments to align procurement with project schedules. Additionally, you will facilitate the solicitation evaluation process, promote open competition, and serve as a resource for departments and vendors regarding procurement procedures.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
Three (3) years of procurement experience, with at least two (2) years focused on construction/capital projects.
Preferred:
Certification as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
Strong knowledge of construction procurement practices, contract law, and competitive bidding statutes.
