General Atomics is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their corporate Facilities group in San Diego, California. The role involves managing all aspects of project execution from design through construction, focusing on budget and schedule adherence for projects ranging from $20K to $40M.
About the Role
As a Construction Project Manager, you will work as part of a project team alongside a construction manager and project administrator. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and developing facility modification data, maintaining project budgets, collaborating with internal teams, coordinating with external firms, facilitating design reviews, and monitoring project schedules. You will also be required to attend various meetings and utilize software for tracking schedules and budgets.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related discipline.
- At least nine years of progressively complex experience in project administration, with at least five years in project management.
- Extensive understanding of project management processes, planning, scheduling methods, and budget management.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred:
- CCM and/or PMP certification.
- Experience as an owner's representative.
- Experience utilizing SAP or equivalent financial management software.
- Understanding of MEP systems.
- Experience with cloud-based construction management platforms like Procore.
