Summary
Ramboll is seeking a Mechanical Construction Superintendent to join their team in Central, NY, overseeing mechanical systems on large-scale data center construction projects.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Construction Superintendent, you will lead field execution of mechanical systems, supervise subcontractors, ensure compliance with construction documents, develop mechanical schedules, perform quality control inspections, enforce safety practices, and maintain communication with project leadership.
About You
Required:
- 7–10+ years of mechanical construction experience with at least 3 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
- Experience working on data center, industrial, healthcare, semiconductor, or other mission-critical projects with complex mechanical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water distribution, hydronic systems, airflow management, and related components.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and coordination plans.
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent mechanical safety training.
- Experience with commissioning support and mechanical system turnover.
- Proficiency with digital tools such as BIM 360, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, energy efficiency practices, and high-reliability cooling system design.
